While talking to friends or family can be beneficial, there are inherent limitations when relying solely on them for support. A counsellor is bound by confidentiality, ensuring that your discussions remain private. Additionally, family and friends may sometimes have their own biases or agendas, which can influence their perspectives. In contrast, the therapeutic space is non-judgmental, providing a safe environment where I believe you are the expert on your own experiences.
I posses a range of experience however, everyone is different and sessions will be tailored to each individuals need.
Sessions last 50 minutes and are held either weekly or fortnightly, depending on our agreement, at the same day and time, I understand sometimes there can be a need for flexibility, this can discussed and agreed on our consultation call.
There is no maximum limit to the number of sessions; you may continue for as long as you feel they are helpful. The decision to end therapy is yours; however, working together towards a planned ending and having a closing session can be important for reflecting on the work completed.
Aim For Change can help with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, relationship problems, grief and loss, trauma, and many more areas of personal and emotional development .
